The Story: it was our last day in Death Valley, and we parked on the side of the road and hike up a massive hill to reach the rim of Star Wars Canyon. This was the spot to do the ultimate plane spotting, but we weren’t sure if it was going to be the day to do it, the sky was overcast and other spotters on the rim were saying they were not going to be flying through the canyon that day due to the weather. To our surprise a plain broke through the clouds and made a pass right through the canyon perfectly lining up for this image.
